FIRM
Diamond Group Architecture inc. is a professional practice of registered architects and technologists located in the Crosstown neighbourhood of Vancouver BC. Our practice is focused on the south coast of BC, with the majority of our projects taking place in the City of Vancouver.

PRACTICE
Our core area of practice is residential architecture at all scales, including custom homes, laneway houses, infill, renovations, adaptive reuse, heritage revitalization, multi-unit residential buildings, and mixed-use buildings. In addition, we have extensive expertise in commercial tenant improvements, restaurants, food services, industrial, and agricultural buildings. We have a proven track record assisting our clientele with authorities in an increasingly complex approvals environment.

PROCESS
We love to solve problems! As a collaborative studio, we draw on the creative, technical, and analytical skills of all members of our firm. We are passionate about architecture, its combination of science and art, and the interplay of culture, community, and controls. We believe that disciplined, elegant, and timeless design is rooted in logic and order, and must be derived from a solid and practical understanding of bylaws, construction, and project delivery. We listen to our clients. We are energized by their aims, and motivated to find unexpected solutions and exceed expectations.

HISTORY
In 2014 Graham Elvidge, Craig Mercs, and Ernest Goodwin formed Diamond Group Architecture inc., taking over the practice of Allan Diamond Architect. After working together as professional colleagues for over 10 years, it was exciting to redeploy our combined 60 years of architectural experience in a new enterprise that had the unique advantage of being both ‘established & experienced’ and ‘emerging & fresh’. Our firm enjoys continued success and growth with our valued clients, our great staff, and exciting projects.

TRUST
Our practice is built on creating and maintaining trust. Our work is differentiated from others and constantly improved through our ethical and professional responsibilities to our clients, the public, and the profession of architecture. Diamond Group Architecture inc. holds a Certificate of Practice with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC). Our Architects are Registered and in good standing with the AIBC. We carry Professional Liability Insurance and maintain coverage with Work Safe BC for all of our personnel.
